Ferrous sulphate feed grade FeSO4

Ferrous sulphate feed grade FeSO4 is used for balancing of feeding diets of farm animals with iron. Fe2+ weight content is 30±2 %. It has a positive effect on the productivity, haematological and biochemical blood parameters, and ensures the necessary amount of iron in the body.

Feed grade Iron Sulfate (FeSO4) is used to balance the iron content in the diets of farm animals. It contains a ferrous iron (Fe2+) mass fraction of 30±2%. This additive positively impacts productivity, hematological, and biochemical blood parameters, ensuring that animals receive the necessary amount of iron.

Diverse Applications of Iron Sulfate

The application of iron sulfate is quite varied. In animal husbandry, it’s used as a feed additive for iron deficiency and in the manufacture of premixes to enrich feed. In agriculture, it functions as a fungicide and for tree treatment. It also finds use in the textile industry for dye production and in the paint and varnish industry for paint manufacturing.

Consequences of Iron Deficiency

Iron deficiency leads to the development of anemia, which is frequently observed in piglets. Symptoms of anemia include:

  • Emaciation
  • Stunted growth
  • Reduced immunological reactivity
  • Pica (depraved appetite)
  • Diarrhea
  • Poor hair coat
  • Decreased reproductive functions in adult animals.

In ruminants, iron deficiency in their diets results in lower blood hemoglobin levels and reduced enzyme activity. For poultry, iron deficiency disrupts red blood cell formation and alters feather coloration.

Benefits of Supplementation

Enriching compound feeds for farm animals and poultry with iron sulfate helps prevent anemia, increases their growth intensity, and is more economically advantageous than intramuscular administration of iron-containing preparations.
